Chinese Mandarin app for iPhone and iPad

This is a work in progress for learning, writing, listening, speaking Mandarin and reading Chinese. The characters used are Traditional and not Simplified. Voice is more Taiwan Mandarin. I wrote this app while was I was studying John deFrancis Beginning Chinese Reader, last print was 1977, but still available on Amazon. I think the vocabulary in deFrancis book are still contemporary. One cant just memorize individual characters in Chinese or it lacks context and meaning and deFrancis readers vocabulary is a good place to start learning the language of Traditional Chinese.

There are many ways to study and learning Chinese. The vocabulary here are mostly derived from deFrancis reader and a Hanban most commonly used 300 characters. Only way to memorize all the Chinese characters is repetition so this app was written to be very repetitive in different quizzing formats.

Included are various quizzing formats along with sketch pads to doodle. PinYin included to facilitate learning pronounciation along with Mandarin txt to speech with Taiwanese accent.
